Geaux Baby Geaux!

Give a child with movement disorders the chance to just be a child!

Bookmark and Share

Go Baby Go! is a national, community-based research, design and outreach program that provides modified ride-on cars to young children with disabilities. Go Baby Go! offers children with mobility challenges a chance to play and socialize with their peers more easily by bringing assistive technology, families, clinicians and industry partners together. Research shows that independent mobility is linked to cognitive, social, motor, language, and other developmental benefits in young children. Experts agree that it is important to enable and encourage independent movement among children with special needs at a young age. Although motorized wheelchairs are common, they can cost $30,000 and are often not covered by insurance. The cost to modify a car through Geaux Baby Geaux (LSUHSC's Go Baby Go! program) is only $250.

Your donation is a priceless gift to a child with disabilities that gives them the chance to just be a child.
