Since 1968, the LSU Health School of Dentistry has been educating and providing clinical training to nearly 6,000 undergraduate, predoctoral and postdoctoral students. We are proud to celebrate 50 years of excellence in dental education, and strive to provide lifelong learning for those in the profession throughout their careers.
LSUSD believes in “making Louisiana smile.” We are humbled to say that three out of every four practicing dentists and dental hygienists in Louisiana are graduates of our school. As the only dental school in Louisiana, our mission of education, research, patient care and service is vital to ensuring that our citizens receive the best oral health care. Our students learn a lot more than just dentistry; they learn compassion.
