The annual D. Luke Glancy, MD, lecture in cardiology honors a great educator and mentor. We are hopeful that you will consider helping us secure the future of this lecture series through a contribution to the LSU Health Foundation. We hope that you will find this a worth endeavor and a suitable tribute to our friend and teacher.

Luke came to New Orleans from the NIH in 1972, where he served as Chief of Cardiovascular Diagnosis from 1968-1972. He was recruited to the LSU School of Medicine as Chief of Cardiology. He held the position of Chief for two years and then became the Medical Director of Cardiology at Hotel Dieu Hospital. He continued teaching students, residents and fellows during his 18 year tenure there, and in 1992 was coerced into returning to LSU to again serve as Chief of Cardiology.

Luke has been a driving force in cardiology in our region for 46 years. His leadership has advanced our field not only locally, but also nationally and internationally.

Please mark your calendar so that you might attend the annual D. Luke Glancy Lecture in Cardiology. The lecture will be part of the Medicine Grand Rounds series and will take place on Friday, Dec. 9, 2022 at noon in the Medical Education Building of the LSU School of Medicine.

We appreciate your consideration of this chance to honor a man who has helped us all advance our careers and the field of Cardiology. Donations can be made online using the form below. If you have questions about your donation, please call 504-568-3712.
