LSU Health New Orleans is deeply saddened by the sudden passing of Dr. Edmund C. Landry.
Ed Landry passed away Sunday February 18, 2024.
Dr. Landry graduated from LSU School of Medicine in 1977. He did his internship and residency in Orthopedic Surgery in the Army at Tripler Army Medical Center. Dr. Landry practiced at Touro Infirmary and Orthopedic Associates of New Orleans for 16 years. In 2000 he relocated to Nashville, Tennessee. where he opened Kennett Orthopedic Center practicing for another 20 years.
Despite attempts to retire in 2020, the heartfelt lure of his calling led him to Ochsner Hospital in Baton Rouge, Louisiana where he continued to practice part time.
Dr. Landry led a life of humble service and practiced Medicine with kindness, integrity, and excellence. Medicine truly was a calling for him. Dr. Landry will be missed by the students he mentored, and the many he transformed through his quiet loving presence and commitment to excellence.
