This 1-day workshop provides a step-by-step guide of how to undertake a meta-analysis, and it is designed for graduate students, postdocs, and faculty members. The goal is to give attendees the skills they need to conduct their own meta-analysis. Throughout the day, the 7 steps of meta-analysis are covered in depth, followed by an introduction to software that can be used for the analysis portion of meta-analysis. A published meta-analysis is used to exemplify each step.
Dr. Seth Noar is a Professor in the School of Media and Journalism at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He has published more than 20 meta-analyses and systematic reviews. His meta-analyses have appeared in several respected journals and he has written several chapters on how to conduct a meta-analysis.
