A very heartfelt thank you goes out to our family friend and Ashley's doctor, Dr. Michael Puente, for his constant care and love to Ashley throughout her illness. Also, thank you to Dr. Clay Gould for his dedicated care of Ashley. Ashley was a proud senior (butterfly) at Mount Carmel Academy and attended elementary school at St. Ann School. At Mount Carmel, Ashley was an Ambassador, a Board member, a member of the basketball team, Teens for Life and on the Frosh Queen Court. Ashley was awarded Altar Server of the Year for St. Ann Parish in April of 2015 and was a beautiful piano player.
Ashley was known for her sunny disposition and always having a smile on her face. Her goal in life was to tell each person she came across hello and give them a smile because you never knew what kind of day they were having. Ashley was truly devoted and defined by her incredible faith and unwavering love of Jesus. She lived everyday by her desire to "be the face of Jesus." Ashley was a kind, gentle, joyful, and loving soul. Her happiness and faith were contagious and inspirational. Ashley carried her cross with grace and her journey brought many people to prayer and faith. To know Ashley is to love Ashley. We are forever thankful for Ashley's countless prayer warriors throughout her illness and all of the many answered prayers and miracles Ashley experienced.
