Morning Presenter: Steve Carstensen, DDS

Steve Carstensen, DDS is a leading expert in dental sleep medicine, with decades of experience treating sleep apnea and snoring in Bellevue, Washington since 1998. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine and a Fellow of the Academy of General Dentistry, the American College of Dentistry, the International College of Dentistry, and the American Academy of Sleep Medicine.

Dr. Carstensen serves as a consultant to the American Dental Association (ADA) on sleep-related breathing disorders and leads the ADA’s Children’s Airway Initiative. He trained at UCLA’s Mini-Residency in Dental Sleep Medicine and is an internationally recognized lecturer with the World Sleep Society, as well as a board member of the World Sleep Academy. He is also the primary sleep educator at the Pankey Institute.

In addition to advising industry manufacturers, Dr. Carstensen co-founded Dental Sleep Practice magazine in 2014 and has authored multiple textbook chapters. He co-wrote A Clinician’s Handbook for Dental Sleep Medicine, first published in 2019, with a second edition released in 2025. In recognition of his contributions, he received the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine’s Distinguished Service Award in 2023.

Afternoon Presenter: Aaron (Seok Hwan) Cho, DDS, MS, MS, FACP, FACD, CDT

Aaron Cho, DDS currently serves as the Chair and Associate Professor in the Department of Prosthodontics at the University of Iowa College of Dentistry.

From 2017 to 2022, Dr. Cho was a Graduate Prosthodontics Program Director and Associate Professor at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry, where he also served as the Director of the Post-Doctoral Implant Placement Program.

He is a Board-Certified Prosthodontist through the American Board of Prosthodontics and a Certified Master Ceramist, demonstrating exceptional expertise in both prosthodontics and advanced dental ceramics. Dr. Cho earned his dental degree from Seoul National University and completed his prosthodontic specialty training at Texas A&M University College of Dentistry (formerly Baylor College of Dentistry).

Dr. Cho has received prestigious national recognitions, including the Stanley D. Tylman Research Award from the American Academy of Fixed Prosthodontics in 2011 and the Claude R. Baker Faculty Award in 2017.

Since 2021, Dr. Cho has continued to lecture and lead hands-on training programs across the United States, South America, China, and Korea, with a special emphasis on All-on-X full-arch implant rehabilitation. His simplified, highly teachable All-on-X treatment protocols have earned strong international recognition for improving predictability, efficiency, and clinician confidence. He also lectures on his D.E.A.R. concept—Digital Engineering–Analog Reflection—which integrates advanced digital workflows with fundamental prosthodontic principles to enhance predictability in full-arch implant treatment.

Cancellation & Refund Policy
Written notice of cancellation received by Setpember 18, 2026 will receive a refund of total registration paid minus an administrative fee.  The registration fee is non-refundable after the cancellation date. If you have special needs as designated by ADA or dietary restrictions, please send us a written description of needs by email to CDE@lsuhsc.edu at least two weeks prior to the start of the course.
